We are Open and we are a COVID-Secure Facility

Since returning from the first lockdown measures in July 2020 we remain COVID free. As part of the Government and NHS Trust policy, all our staff have been fully inoculated with the Pfizer vaccine.

We want to reassure you that we also have measures in place for your safety. As part of a major Hospital NHS Trust you can be reassured that the measures enacted by us are in line with government guidance. The following safety measures follow the general principle of reducing time spent in the clinic and exposure to others.

  • Mandatory temperature testing, COVID Questionnaire and hand-gel use upon entry
  • Strict hand washing regimes
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves gowns and face-masks are mandatory for all clinical staff
  • Social distancing measures include: extra spacing in the waiting room, reduced numbers in clinic and allowance of extra clinic time per patient.
  • Patients are advised to arrive on time for their appointment and family and friends are only allowed if necessary.
  • If you are scheduled for surgery The Hospital Trust will arrange for you to have a mandatory COVID test 3 days prior to surgery. Surgery will only proceed if this test is negative.
