Therefore, before any treatment decisions are made, all prospective patients are given a comprehensive and unhurried consultation during which their needs are expertly assessed and all possible options are fully explored.
We know it’s important for our patients to feel confident and relaxed at our practice. We offer an initial private medical consultation with a consultant ophthalmic surgeon to enable patients to get to know our team. In a stress-free, unhurried, professional atmosphere, our surgeons will listen carefully to your needs and perform all the necessary investigations. We will then discuss in full patients’ visual and refractive surgery options.
To arrange a consultation, please telephone 01744 646 643 or get in touch via our contact page. You will need to bring a letter of referral from your GP. If you normally wear contact lenses, you will need to leave them out for at least one week prior to your appointment. At your visit, we normally put drops in both eyes to dilate pupils and allow your consultant to thoroughly examine your eyes. The drops will blur your vision for three to four hours, so you should bring someone with you who can drive you home afterwards.
